Hey friends, Ezra here—I’m excited to share that Morning & Midnight has officially arrived… as a duo album.
You might’ve heard me mention a “double album” before, but that label never felt quite right. I originally started writing Morning and Midnight as two separate projects—with their own moods, themes, and sketches. But as the songs took shape, I could feel them reaching for each other. So I let them marry into a single, intimate listening experience… a duo that dances between light and dark, dawn and dusk, sketch and sound.
What Makes This Duo Special?
- Two albums in one: 20 brand-new tracks, spanning acoustic meanderings, poetic reflections, and warm production rooted in the cabin studio.
- Born in the woods: most of the writing, drawing, and dreaming happened right in my East Texas cabin—even if some recording drifted into other places.
- A creative cornucopia: alongside the music, a poetry/art book bubbled into existence, full of hand-drawn sketches and intimate reflections.
This project closes a chapter on a decade of music-making—wrapping up the “History of Love Trilogy” and opening the door to wherever the story takes me next.
